I suspect male abuse victims are more and more willing to talk about it. But men who haven’t been abused don’t want to hear it. So the victims are left only with sharing their experiences with therapists — assuming they are even willing to tell the therapists.

That said, I also suspect the trend toward more openness about sexual abuse of women will make it easier for men to do the same. It will just take more time.
