I largely agree with you. But I suggest the “liberal media” mantra is more than just a given. It’s an intentional propaganda strategy designed to undermine the credibility of mainstream media.

And it has worked quite well, leading to the rise of Fox News, Breitbart, Alex Jones, Rush Limbaugh and other “fair and balanced” media that serves up plenty of fake news.
