I have known some highly intelligent people who were downright stupid about daily life. They had exceptional abstract intelligence and poor practical intelligence.

Although you make great points, I suggest that highly intelligent people with well-developed intellects (not necessary the same thing as native intelligence) have a useful tool to help them deal with the misery.

Even people who don’t have an IQ of 160 can learn rationality, objectivity and other abilities under their control.
